Almost a mom on mothers day

If you are wondering why it has taken me so long to update my blog, its because i have been wanting to take a picture of my belly before i did and it took me this long to take a dang picture!  I only think about it in the mornings when Nate is at school, and by the time i get home from work all i want to do is cuddle and go to bed.  But this is the latest and greatest... one month left!! I am hoping it ends up being more like 2 weeks left but i doubt it.  Since i have been pregnant, i have gotten some funny comments from people who I see at work on a regular basis.  Since my fingers are now so swollen that i can no longer wear my wedding ring, i think people are confused with a very young looking pregnant girl, who is possibly single.  The best of all comments came about a week ago from a regular who i see every couple weeks.  We have flyers out on the desk advertising that we are hiring a new receptionist, so she asks me "why are you guys hiring?" to which i reply "well i am having a baby soon so they are trying to find someone to replace me when i leave"  and her response "oh... you are pregnant?  I just thought you were overweight"  uuuuhhhhh what?  I have no response to that.  I am lucky that i don't feel like a big fatty or that comment could have really hurt!

But life has been going really great for us lately.  So many blessings have come our way over the last couple months, the biggest one being that Nate got a job!  We are so happy, the job market is beyond bad right now and we were in a panic trying to determine what life would be like if he did  not end up getting work. He applied to about 100 jobs and got a total of 3 interviews. Right now he is the only person in his program to have gotten a job, so yes we are very grateful!  We will also be moving back to Utah this summer which we are pretty excited about.  I have really enjoyed being in Oregon, and i honestly would have been happy here forever (which was the original plan) but with most of my family and friends being in Utah, i am really happy to be close to them again.

So now that we have a plan in our future it cannot come soon enough!  I am so excited to have this baby and have my mom come out here to help me. We have vacations planned all summer and then moving!  I just want it to all start right now, bring on the life changes already!

  2. I had no idea that your blog wasn't updating in my GoogleReader! I'm glad to be all caught up now :) And seriously, I can't believe that 1) someone told you they thought you were just overweight and 2) you weren't pregnant—your baby bump is clearly a baby bump!

We're definitely going to miss you here, but I'm so excited that Nate has a job and that guys have a plan!
